This is better

This is the first game from From Software that I've put more than a few hours into since Dark Souls and I stopped playing that eventually after a few days. This however has me hooked. Whilst not for everyone, I feel this is more accessible than previous titles just due to the openess of the world. I'm still finding new stuff when I visit old areas and any time I run into a block there's always another way through most of the time or I can come back later after exploring and levelling and smash through whatever stopped me before. I love the world and the challenge. Definitely worth checking out on.

Obviously if you enjoyed other Fromsoft games you will adore this, but I feel it is more accessible than games like Dark souls 1 and Demon souls for new people. Because it is an open world RPG you can go off somewhere else to explore and level up before progressing with the story. It looks beautiful and plays smoothly. I highly reccomend this to everyone. However, if you dont like challenging games at all this might not be for you.

DS x Open World = Elden Ring. The main reason I like this game is because of the vast array of options you have to play it – if you're stuck on a tough boss, just walk the opposite direction and find something else to do! It makes it so much more accessible to newcomers. 8.5/10
