If you have a little extra cash and some spare desk space, I'd opt for the AV40s. They have more power, but I don't think you'd really fret over the unless you were planning on cranking them, which in my opinion is kind of an excessive attribute of a desktop speaker.

Wow! These put out the sound! The quality is very good but certainly not audiophile-worthy. But, talk about convenient! I hooked it up with the Audio-Technica BT turntable and it sounds great! Also, played Spotify through them and it sounded equally strong. No complaints.
