Speakers

I enjoy the quality and convenience of my new speakers. The remote didn't work at first, but after I replaced the battery it has been working just fine, and is part of the convenience of the system that makes listening when I wish so easy.

Edifier R1700BT Bluetooth Bookshelf Speakers - Active Near-field Studio Monitors - Powered Speakers 2.0 Setup Wooden Enclosure - 4 inch Subwoofer - 66w RMS

The Edifier R1700BT are beautiful, at least in my opinion. If they were a full size speaker I would be happy to make them the centerpiece of my living room but since they're only a rather diminutive 25 cm high I'm perfectly fine to have them grace my desktop.

Visually stunning; low price; Bluetooth connectivity; compact size

Early subbass roll off

An excellent product, bought to replace speakers for my MacBook Pro which had died, after listening I feel there is no way these will end up in the office! - the sound is so natural and the sound field so believeable they will almost certainly stay in the living room.

Built nicely and look great. Sound good but nothing special. Im used to M-Audio and theres so much more punch, body and dynamic sound in them. These sounded a bit more high end (nicer stage definition for example), but slightly thin, boring and not much bass, and even muddy base when turned up.

Mediocrity not welcome round 'ear.....

Way back in the gloomy 1970s that was London, I owned a gorgeous set of Wharfedale Linton speakers and Lenco turntable. I don't recall the amp that made up the audio triumvirate, but I do recall how enthralled I was at how my much loved albums' sounds were so magnificently reproduced.
