Docking one star because I had to buy a cable to determine its wiring, it's nicely constructed and seems good quality. In USB 2, A-plug to A-plug cables like this one were specifically prohibited, but the USB 3 spec (good bedtime reading material: USB 3.1 Legacy Cable and Connector Specification, 5.5.2) does describe a way to wire them with the VBUS (power) and D+/D- (not-superspeed data) not connected. However obviously they do have some practical uses with power and data connected through.
