Canadian buyers beware! The seller stated "We are selling brand new items. Buy from us and avoid custom and brokerage fees..." Reading this made me decide to buy this printer. Both statements are not true in my case.

This label printer works nicely with the Dymo printing software, but can be very difficult and requires messing with print server settings deep in the printer control panel settings to get it to print the right size in the right place to work as a normal printer for shipping labels.
Depending on your point of view, the Dymo LabelWriter 4XL ($279.99 direct) is either a minor variation on Dymo's other label printers like the Editors' Choice Dymo LabelWriter 450 Twin Turbo and Dymo LabelWriter 450 , or it's a very different beast.

With the new postage regulations requiring a barcode for packages that weigh over 13 ozs. This little printer is worth it's weight in gold! This is like a little miracle that is making my life so much more pleasant. Thank you Dymo for another great product!!

One More Item On The Desk
There aren't very many 4x6 label printers on the market, but the Dymo comes out pretty much on top for light-medium use. I was skeptical about buying a 4x6 printer but it saves me so much time with international shipments because you can print customs labels directly instead of having to use an...
I use this printer to make postage/shipping labels with Endcia Dazzle software. You can print both domestic and itnernational lables with postage using this printer and the 4x6" labels. I was able to buy "compatible" labels off of that auction site (e something) from a seller called houselabels.

One the one hand, it comes with the same software and prints at similar speeds. On the other, it's the only Dymo LabelWriter that can print on 4.16-by-6.275-inch shipping labels, which makes it a great fit for, say, a small company that needs to ship products it sells on eBay. Being able to print wider labels than most office label printers means the 4XL is necessarily wider than most, but it doesn't take up all that much more desk space, at roughly 5.5 by 7.8 by 7.3 inches (HWD). As with other Dymo LabelWriters, and unlike some of its competition, notably the Brother TD-4000($550.00 at Amazon), it lacks an automatic cutter, which you might think would be a problem with wide labels. However, even with the 4.16-inch wi...
