Dungeon Siege III Review

Dungeon Siege III offers fun combat with limited RPG foundations in what is a radical new direction for the series. There's certainly fun to be had, even if it is vastly different from its origins. However, it doesn't do anything to entice you to keep playing.

Dungeon Siege III (PS3) - Review

Isometric RPGs were all the rage a decade ago. They are top-down, dungeon crawling exploits in which the search for better equipment is just as important as advancing the story. With the advent of more advanced graphics, details got better, allowing developers to bring the camera down to eye level...

Dungeon Siege 3 Review

Dungeon Siege III will likely make you question your expectations of a fantasy action RPG, and more specifically, whether you believe a single-player lootfest is worth sixty dollars today.

Satisfying; solid combat; Cascading system of abilities; Good graphics and animations

Adequate; albeit cliché; storyline; Predictable

Dungeon Siege III

But achievement has obviously clashed with time; the studio has had not enough of the latter to fully hammer out it's ideas. The third Dungeon Siege continues in the footsteps of its fore-bearers, revolving around the the Kingdom of Ehb.

Dungeon Siege III Review

I have a signature move in co-op action RPG Dungeon Siege III. How many games can I say that for? Basically none. What I like to do in Dungeon Siege III is wait until there's only one monster left to deal with.

Didn't like the demo at all

After playing the ps3 demo, I'm completely turned off to it. FYI, I didn't like the first Dungeon Siege very much and did love the Diablo series. The demo zones seemed pretty linear with the terrain giving more an illusion of freedom than anything else.

Good but way too short

Alot like the old Baldurs Gate games on the Xbox and Ps2. A very good game decent but predictable storyline with a very good voice cast. Maor problem though is its only 10 hours long which isnt very good for an RPG nowadays especially when the graphics arent anything special.

Dungeon Siege III is a fun but unambitious dungeon crawler that fails to live up to the games that came before it.

What is it about shiny new loot that makes action role-playing games so enthralling? There's something perpetually rewarding about seeing a heroic warrior graduate from lowly rags and a rusty sword to gleaming gold armor and a katana so sharp you can lop a cyclops' head with it in a single swipe.

Smooth flow of loot keeps you pressing forward; Your choices steer certain story elements; Simple but entertaining combat for up to four players

A fraction of the length of previous Dungeon Siege games; Absurd co-op limitations; The camera can be a pain

+Solid combat and good amount of abilities

-Poor implementation of online co-op; -Short and easy campaign with little replay value

Dungeon Siege 3 Review

If you've been waiting for a competent developer to finally come up with an answer to Blizzard's brilliant Diablo II (which is now over eleven years old), well, you might have to wait a bit longer.
