Dreamcast Collection

God damn , we loved the Dreamcast. Love, in fact, present tense; Sega's white wonder still gets dug out of the cupboard from time to time when we want to indulge in the unusually high percentage of quality software the console enjoyed.

Dreamcast Collection Review

The Dreamcast Collection is difficult to recommended to anyone that isn't a Dreamcast fan; some gamers might not find much enjoyment in the dated titles included, despite their accessibility and fun factor. This is undoubtedly a collection for Dreamcast fans.

Dreamcast Collection Review

The lack of actual Dreamcast versions, the utterly pointless inclusion of Sega Bass Fishing, the nonexistent nostalgic extras and the lack of effort in presentation all make Dreamcast Collection an unfaithful representation of the glorious Dreamcast era.

I never had a Dreamcast, so the fact I could play these Dreamcast jewels was brilliant. For me Sonic and Crazy Taxi were incredible, but didn't really play the other two.

Sega knows a thing or two about re-releasing their greatest hits in video game compilations. Over the past few years they've turned repackaging Genesis games into an art form, offering generous helpings of 16-bit games at a budget price.

Dreamcast Collection

There are two ways to go with re-release compilations. Either you create a Director's Cut and enthusiastically tart up the games, adding never-before-seen content, next-generation sheen and, you know, a widescreen option - or you leave them pretty much exactly as they were and try to make up for it...
