A wrinkle in time.

You can only tell the same story so many times, and Dragon Ball games are well past their allotment. I've seen Raditz perforated by the Special Beam Cannon more than 100 times by now, and while I love the series' grandiose narrative and iconic moments, it has long needed a spark.

Detailed character customization; New; interesting take on a tired story

Basic; loose controls make for uneven gameplay; Immense enemy health bars result in shallow; frustrating end game

Dragon Ball: Xenoverse

Dragon Ball: Xenoverse marks the first manifestation of a Dragon Ball brawler on this generation's most advanced consoles (PlayStation 4, Xbox One), and the noticeable uptick in graphical fluidity combined with a unique solo campaign seems to be just what this series needed in order to escape from...

Beware drop rates for your favorite powers and clothing.

While being able to create a character to interact in the DBZ universe is a delight, some janky mechanics would unfortunately insure this game couldn't get a perfect score. What sadly confirms sure of that is the developers' decision to see fit that just about any power or piece of clothing you...

Dragon Ball XenoVerse review – alternative?history

No doubt a dream come true for fans, but with so little innovation in the core gameplay the boast of being an interactive cartoon seems more like a liability than a positive.

Real effort has gone into the story mode and the game's visuals look great; Relatively deep role-playing and customisation options, as well as strong online features

There's not nearly enough variety or nuance to the combat, especially if you've played previous games; Terrible ally artificial intelligence, and the plot will mean nothing to non-fans

Only for fans

Entertaining Dragon Ball game but I must stress that this is only for fans. The game looks nice and has lots of carácter customisation. Is not without its flaws though --> -Battles can be very tedious and repetitive due to lack of variety.

Dragonball Xenoverse Review: Reaching Final Form

Dragonball Z has a lengthy series of video games. Some of the games were more mediocre, while others offered simplistic fighting gameplay allowing anyone to join in on the action. All do a great job at giving fans of the show a chance to relive their favorite moments.

From being able to create your own character, the battle system is very easy and fun that anyone can immense on it. Unlike other fighting games where you have to input commands to use their special moves, on this game every thing can be done with ease.

Dragon Ball Z Xenoverse

There are approximately seven thousand Dragonball Z games, all of them based on stretches of the four hundred thousand episodes of the television show. Their quality has fluctuated wildly over the years – sometimes even within a specific series, as any Budokai fan will happily tell you if you...
