2004's Doom 3 was a shooter that focused on survival, pitting the player against hordes of monsters in a progressive environment where opening fire isn't always the best path to success. It's a great game, but it's not a Doom game.

Having clocked the game I feel I can now write a informed review. An instant Doom classic that goes back to it's roots. Very fast paced frantic combat in nasty environments against viscous monsters . Big guns and unrelentingly aggressive. Lighting is great and very engaging environments and arenas. If you like your FPS games this is a must play with multiple weapon and armor up grades and things to find in the darkest hardest to reach corners. I found it very enjoyable and highly recommend.

Cannot be overstated how amazing the model is, the detail is amazing! I would have loved for the eyes to glow but there is room to add LEDs to the cannons and back thrusters so the future is bright with this one!

Because of its success as an FPS, Doom was one of the early pioneers of the genre. It does make one wonder what the gaming world would be like if Doom hadn't come along, but whatever the case, we should be thankful for id's FPS for paving the way for the likes of GoldenEye and the Halo series, both...

game was corny, was so bored after 10 minutes of play
