Dishonored - Review

Dishonored places you in the role of Corvo Attano, royal protector to the Empress of Dunwall, who sees her slain before his eyes by her consort before being framed for the murder. Her assassin kidnaps the heir to the throne in order to seize power for themselves and you're left top rot in prison for...

Great freedom of choice; A wonderfully realised setting; Plenty of replay value

The ending feels a little abrupt; A couple of graphical hiccups; NPC dialogue is sometimes repeated

Dishonored Review

Dishonored's engrossing world and intoxicating interplay of supernatural powers make it a game you'll want to play more than once.

Great suite of abilities encourages creativity; Spacious environments riddled with pathways and secrets; Lovely design brings the city to life; Superbly voiced cast of interesting characters; N/A

Dishonored PC Review

This statement might sound a bit weird, but RPGs have been crawling into first person shooters since before id Software even invented them back in 1992. Origin Systems' Ultima Underworld wasn't really an FPS, but it did have real-time combat including melee and ranged attacks, along with an...

OXCGN's Dishonored Review: Best New IP in Years

We're at the end of the longest console cycle in the history of the industry. Most AAA releases consist of sequels in well-established franchises. Publishers are taking less risk. And then there's Dishonored .

Dishonored

Arkane Studios has returned to the gaming scene after quite some time. In 2006, they released Dark Messiah of Might and Magic, which brought some rather cool gameplay features, but thanks to a majority of intolerable glitches and technical mishaps the game was widely criticized.

First-class art direction; a unique and compelling atmosphere; extremely fun gameplay; great soundtrack and voiceovers; strong replay value

AI issues; may not be as challenging as you'd expect; especially when you upgrade Corvo's abilities; a lot shorter than we'd like

Dishonored is a first-person stealth game that is developed by Arkane Studios, who previously worked closely on BioShock 2 ‘s art and design which players will notice if they have played the game.

A little something for everyone.

Dishonored is a game that should run about 20 hours if you do side missions and take a stealthy route. If you run-and-gun, killing everything in your path, it should take significantly less time to complete.

Review: Dishonored

Arkane Studios deserve immense credit. Their one game since 2002′s ground-breaking Arx Fatalis divided critics, and two projects since had been put on the back-burner. Former Deus Ex director Harvey Smith had disappeared from the limelight, much like his partner Warren Spector.

Dishonored

Dishonored has been on our radar since it was announced in 2011 and, thankfully, the final product avoids the hype train and lives up to its potential – mostly. As Corvo Attano, framed for the murder of the Empress you once protected, you're cast into a political thriller as the various forces in...
