The Family that Slays Together...

"Lord Val... is being undermined by these fools with stupidly strong personalities." -Fenrich Disgaea 4: A Promise Unforgotten broke my brain. Even after finishing the main game, there's so much stuff I haven't done. Unlocking extra maps. Recruiting all the bonus characters.

Disgaea is still as funny as ever

It's also just as repetitive; which started to wear on even me when I got stuck

Disgaea 4: A Promise Unforgotten (PS3) - Review

It's going to be a weird couple of months for console JRPG fans. Where usually I only have one game every 2-3 months to look forward to, I now have so many to play that I couldn't fit them all in my schedule even if I wanted to.

Disgaea 4 Review

Disgaea is about the obsession of two groups of people: Nippon Ichi's obsession with breaking the limits of the strategy RPG, and an audience equally obsessed with doing so. Disgaea 4: A Promise Unforgotten review (PS3)

Disgaea 4: A Promise Forgotten is the latest game from Nippon Ichi Software, a development team that routinely turns out games so unique and refreshingly niche that you'd expect it to have gone out of business years ago.

A Truly Endless Experience - Disgaea 4 and the games before it could rightfully be labeled as the first true sandbox strategy RPG because that is exactly what they are. There are endless things to do here, and with characters who can get their levels raised to the multiple thousands (after...

Disgaea 4: A Promise Unforgotten Review

The Disgaea franchise has a passionate and dedicated following for such a niche style of game to make it this far: a fourth entry in its line of animé-inspired tomfoolery matched with complex, detailed strategy.

Dozens of hours worth of content and beyond; Creative setting; style; and humor; More time and thought = Better results

Interface and mechanics can be vague; Presentation will be lackluster to those not used to this style

Review: Disgaea 4: A Promise Unforgotten – Premium Figure Set Edition (Sony PS3)

Nippon Ichi sent me a review copy of Disgaea 4 roughly a month ago and I've been playing it ever since. In my hands-on preview of the game, I admitted it was one of the best games I played this year. However on August 31st, my pre-order of the game arrived.
