Disgaea 4

It's a small miracle that games like 'Disgaea 4' are still being released; especially when paired up with giant AAA shooters like Resistance and action packed blockbusters like Uncharted . Still, this turn-based tactical series scurries along to eager fanboy pitter patter.

Disgaea has never-ever looked so good; Valvatorez is a worthy protagonist; New gameplay innovations work; Ability to create your own maps; base and pirate ships; So much content; you can honestly play this one forever; Online capabilities only sweeten the deal

Quirky humour isn't for everyone; Grinding is a necessity; Besides its HD shine; there are no major change; Not overly welcoming to newbies

Disgaea 4 Fulfills It's Promise

For those of you unfamiliar with the Disgaea franchise, it is a turn based tactical RPG much along the same vein as Final Fantasy Tactics or Fire Emblem. Your team of 10 characters, made up of your choice of feature characters or customized characters, take turns moving about a battlefield...

"An excellent game"

Have enjoyed playing this game- excellent overall graphics and game play along with just the right degree of complexity.

The absorbing tactical battles haven't evolved much, but a great cast of characters and consistently funny writing keep Disgaea 4 entertaining.

The Disgaea series has always fused wickedly humorous storylines featuring ostensibly evil heroes with deeply strategic and rewarding battles. The good and bad news about Disgaea 4 is that very little has changed.

Humorous tale filled with memorable characters; Involving tactical battles; Cute artistic style; Plenty of strategic considerations outside of battle

Very similar to earlier entries in the series; Insufficient tutorials

Nothing Negative

GI didn't mention a single negative thing in this game's review, so what stops it from getting a 10? I don't understand it

Review: Disgaea 4: A Promise Unforgotten for PS3

Disgaea 4: A Promise Unforgotten is the latest and greatest in the legendary Disgaea series of strategic RPGs. It's got all new, HD graphics, a brand new Netherworld and overlord to meet and even more opportunities to create the biggest and baddest party in Hades.

Interesting story; lots of opportunities to level grind; colorful characters; old and new character sprite styles; can place special buildings in the command center to influence characters; can visit an Evility shop to learn skills and abilities; can appoint characters to special positions to have...

A true online multiplayer mode would have been appreciated and pirate duels take a while and bit of effort to unlock

Disgaea at its best!

A vampire who eats sardines, his werewolf butler, a girl with a prinny hat due to lack of prinny hides, a final boss and Death Jr will be your party in this ridiculous, addicting, and fun installment of the Disgaea series.

Fantastic!

I've played all of the Disgaea series so far and this is one of the best: [Story] This entry in the series has you follow Valvatorez's quest to show the Netherworld the power of sardines!

fun game

I'm relatively new to Disgaea, & I haven't beaten this game yet, so I may change my review at a later date - but as of right now, I am really loving this. I was skeptical because, as shallow as it sounds, I wasn't too fond of the character designs this time around, & I was wondering if the whole...
