I bought this a few weeks ago to get a proper rally game and it did not disappoint. Only issue was that I couldn't get the legend edition as advertised but I got a small discount after that because of the mixup.

Although many consider the racing genre to be a niche genre in the video game industry, it definitely has produced some incredible titles over the years. If you take that mindset one step further, then rally racing would be considered the ultimate niche sport.
Get your clutch foot ready!
It's easy to approach a rally game as if it's another racing title. Speed, fighting for control, and a strong competitive spirit rule both, but rally racing is a different breed. If the focus of regular racing is primarily the finish, then rally racing is a marathon where you die and are reborn a...
There's a specific corner during one of the German stages in where your co-driver will supplement his flurry of warnings with a professional request: "Be brave." It's a slight left kink, framed on both sides by half-buried stones.
Excellent handling; Brilliant effects and sound; Great garage selection; Good mix of modes; including RallyX
In-game economy makes career mode a grind
Codemasters' DiRT series has been among my favorite racing franchises since its inception last generation. It strikes a wonderful balance of weighty, technical realism and adaptable, free-flowing arcade play. It is easy to learn, difficult to master.

Positives + Massive amount of content + Easily scales between casual and simulation + Fantastic graphics and sound + Great online community
Negatives - Frustratingly difficult until you stumble on a blend of controls and assists that's right for you; - No local split-screen racing

The best rally stages seen in a game yet; An unforgiving handling model that will push players to the limit; The audio is incredible across the board; Fantastic peripheral support with deep customisation options; An excellent player-run league system
Too few unique stages and circuits; No tire wear or tire choice options
I've spent a lot of time on a lot of racing games, including other simulators like the Gran Turismo series. This game is literally NOT FUN. I loved all of the other dirt series but this is pretty awful. Worst game I've purchased in a while, and I honestly don't understand all the high reviews.
