Pre-ordered Dirt Rally for PS4 on Wednesday 30th March 2016 from Gameseek. It is now over a week later and it still has not arrived. Whats the point of pre-ordering a game if, 2 days after the release date, it still hasn't arrived. Not very impressed Gameseek.

Awful. Realism? Nah. Handling physics are good. That's it. The vehicle textures are cartoonish. Graphics were better on the original Gran Turismo. The detail on the car? Garbage. There's almost literally no detail beyond the very outer surface.

DiRT has been one of my favorite titles since it's release on Playstation 2. I had so much fun playing this with my friends after school or during hang out sessions. THIS GAME HAS SO MUCH TO OFFER!

Hurtling down a muddy forest track in the heart of Wales, my Subaru Impreza's engine sputters into overdrive with a ferocious howl as I climb perilously close to top speed. The dense walls of trees on either side blur into a desaturated mess of browns and greens.

Excellent handling and physics model; Superb mixture of distinct vehicles from a range of eras; Tough; varied; and exhilarating assortment of rally stages; Wonderful visuals and sound design

Career mode progression is a grind; Hill Climb and Rallycross modes feel half-baked; Can be overwhelming with no tutorials and little guidance

First things first, DiRT Rally is tough... Like, really tough. As a driving discipline known for its extreme learning curve and slim margin for error, it's no surprise that a game attempting to accurately reflect these aspects of the sport turns out to be difficult, so much so that it's drawn...

One of the best driving sims of the new generation, and although it still lacks content in some areas the console versions are just as good as the PC.

A fantastically accurate simulation, that is scrupulously fair in both its rewards and punishment; Plenty of racing styles, tracks, and cars; Super smooth 60fps graphics

The bare bones multiplayer and career mode are still an issue; with few important additions to accompany the console launch

The last racing game I played prior to DiRT Rally was 2015's Need for Speed title. Going into DiRT Rally , I assumed I would approach the racing the same way I did in Need for Speed . I was in for the shock of my life. DiRT Rally isn't Need for Speed or even Forza . It's the furthest thing from it.

The PS4 version of DiRT Rally was primarily tested for the purpose of this review. The DiRT franchise made its rather unusual early-access debut last year, but after Codemasters built its new installment DiRT Rally up from the ground, this April the game makes its debut on PlayStation 4 and Xbox...

While I can appreciate the demanding simulation aspect of Dirt Rally, it is at the cost of being approachable for most people. That's not to say the game is bad, far from it, as I admire the lengths they went to, to make the hardest simulation racing game they could.

This is a must have for VR, but ideally it would need to be played with a steering wheel and pedals to fully enjoy it.
