Along with real-time strategy titles, deep action-RPGs aren't usually seen as a particularly good fit for consoles. The lack of a mouse is the most obvious concern as it not only seems essential for play, but also for navigating the genre's frequently-visited menus.

Let's get right into it. Diablo 3 is a straight up hack, slash and loot action role-playing game. You create a name for your character, pick one of five classes and go out into the world of Sanctuary to slaughter millions of demons and get some groovy gear.

"Always Online" DRM, Bad Story Line

One cannot discount the sheer importance of the Diablo franchise to the world of gaming. Not only did it create a whole genre of Action RPGs, but it has defined the way in which the search for better and better gear can be an objective all of its own.

Although I often berate video game developers for rushing out unfinished products to make a quick buck, I have to say that I wish Blizzard would work a little faster in dishing out sequels for their popular franchises.

It has been 16 years when you must have had a hand on experience with the original Diablo, and then it has been 12 years since the release of Diablo 2. I've played Diablo 1 & 2, big fan of both. This one, ehh not so much. Although I did put in about a total of 125 hours of gameplay(so it was worth the cost of $60). Downfalls: *They turned this into an online game only.

Blizzard hits another homerun with Diablo III. Despite a lackluster story and sometimes oversimplified gameplay elements, the series' latest installment once again rises as one of the best experiences you can have in the genre.
