Diablo III for consoles review

Along with real-time strategy titles, deep action-RPGs aren't usually seen as a particularly good fit for consoles. The lack of a mouse is the most obvious concern as it not only seems essential for play, but also for navigating the genre's frequently-visited menus.

Up-to four players on a single system making the experience easier to share; Precise, intuitive controls both in-game and in menus; Better loot balancing

Want to hack and slash No problem.

Let's get right into it. Diablo 3 is a straight up hack, slash and loot action role-playing game. You create a name for your character, pick one of five classes and go out into the world of Sanctuary to slaughter millions of demons and get some groovy gear.

Challenging; Gameplay; Graphics; Multiplayer

Review: Diablo III

One cannot discount the sheer importance of the Diablo franchise to the world of gaming. Not only did it create a whole genre of Action RPGs, but it has defined the way in which the search for better and better gear can be an objective all of its own.

The game RPG fans waited 12 years for is here and it was worth the wait.

Although I often berate video game developers for rushing out unfinished products to make a quick buck, I have to say that I wish Blizzard would work a little faster in dishing out sequels for their popular franchises.

It has been 16 years when you must have had a hand on experience with the original Diablo, and then it has been 12 years since the release of Diablo 2. And later the launch of Lord of Destruction left the RPG fans hungering for a new experience in the dungeon crawling and isometric universe created...

Great dungeon crawling gameplay; Seamless online multiplayer; Interesting story; Slaying monsters has seldom been this addictive and rewarding; Players can select heroes from five distinct character classes; Rich Graphic Content; The voice overs sound good; Excellent animation quality

No PvP part; Probably the biggest issue for competitive gamers, The game feels cheesy sometime, Graphics don't look great when zoomed in, Mandatory online connection, The cut scenes are a bit corny

Typical game. Nothing special

I've played Diablo 1 & 2, big fan of both. This one, ehh not so much. Although I did put in about a total of 125 hours of gameplay(so it was worth the cost of $60). Downfalls: *They turned this into an online game only.

The Prime Evil...

Blizzard hits another homerun with Diablo III. Despite a lackluster story and sometimes oversimplified gameplay elements, the series' latest installment once again rises as one of the best experiences you can have in the genre.

Diablo III review

It does.

Excellent core gameplay

Nothing new; Unimaginative plot; Ridiculous online demands

The economy here is very unstable, yet a required element of the game. It has not gone well so far. The question, then, is this: do you have faith in Activision Blizzard's ability to make this into a game that is good for players? You can discover whether you do by engaging in a thought exercise.

Slickly done; smart simplified class-management system; great soundtrack and look

Economy is fragile, necessary, and untested; short and cheesy campaign
