Dreadful mindless button bashing

The demo and screenshots looked good so I bought the game. What a waste of money! The graphics are great and it runs very smooth on my 1920x1080 screen. However where's the game? As far as I can see, it's just mindless button bashing and trying to remember button sequences or combos to kill the next...

Scott Pilgrim vs. the World

Due to the release of the Hollywood movie Scott Pilgrim vs. the World , the original graphic novel series of which it blossomed has transferred from cult classic to a widely known franchise.

Devil May Cry 4 (PC) Review

I've never played any game in the Devil May Cry series, but I've heard nothing but praise for it ever since it first came out. I was excited to learn that the fourth installment was going to be ported over to the PC and leapt at the chance to review it.

Capcom returns to the PC. And this time they've even made an effort.

PC Review - 'Devil May Cry 4'

Devil May Cry 's existence is borne of a glitch. The first attempt at Resident Evil 4 (long before the critically acclaimed GameCube classic we now know) had a physics bug that often caused enemies to fly into the air.

Devil May Cry 4 (PC)

If you've read Scott Jones' deliciously entertaining reviews of Devil May Cry 4 for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 , then you already know that Capcom has delivered some serious Gothic Goodness (though I'm less forgiving than Jones, perhaps, of the PS3's 22-minute initial load time).

If you play Devil May Cry 4 on the PC, you should expect all of the same visceral carnage featured in the console versions, but there's a caveat: You'll need a gamepad. If you're a glutton for punishment, you can try using the game's keyboard control scheme, but it's awkward and frustrating.

Extraordinary action sequences; Nero is a great new character with some terrific new moves; Beautiful visuals and incredible cutscenes will constantly amaze you; Boss characters are designed well and fun to fight; A couple of fun modes that are exclusive to the PC version

You need a gamepad if you want the proper experience; Environments and boss fights are repeated far too often; Puzzles and platforming aren't much fun and chop up the pace too much
