Dell Latitude 7390 (Core i7-8650U, Touchscreen) Laptop Review

Our list of complaints has shrunk since last month's Latitude 7390 review, partially thanks to configuration differences with today's review unit, and partially just because some of these items may be a product of idiosyncrasies of the individual machines themselves.

impeccable magnesium build; lightweight with small footprint; truly anti-glare touchscreen; thorough security features; strong selection of ports; including Thunderbolt 3; easy maintenance via removable bottom cover; excellent keyboard; good touchpad with separate physical buttons; terrific battery...

impossible to open one-handed; questionable value of the Core i7 upgrade; fingerprint reader seems pickier than some models; hinge design allows the lid to raise the base under wider opening angles; surface temperatures while idling can be a bit bothersome on lap

Dell Latitude 7390 2-in-1

The Dell Latitude 7390 2-in-1 comes close to unseating the HP EliteBook x360 1030 G2 as our Editors' Choice business convertible. It doesn't quite do so, because we think its extra weight and crowded keyboard offset its benchmark performance, and because we're a fan of a few HP extras, such as the...

Peppy performance; Great battery life; Two Thunderbolt 3/USB-C ports; Fingerprint reader and face-recognition camera

Pricey; A few ounces overweight; Cramped keyboard

Dell Latitude 7390 2-in-1 review: New processor, new ports, more security

Dell's Latitude 7390 convertible business laptop has been refreshed with eighth-generation Intel Core processors (CPU), a couple of Thunderbolt 3 ports, and some extra security features, but otherwise it remains mostly the same as its predecessor, the Latitude 7389 .

All-day battery; Crisp touch display; Great performance; Speedy SSD

Prices rise quickly; Touchpad could be larger; Protruding power button on the side

The Dell Latitude 13 7390 2-in-1 Review

Dell's XPS lineup of consumer laptops are some of the best in the business, and Dell started the thin-bezel trend that has now taken over the industry. But if you're in the market for a business laptop and the practicality that implies, their Latitude lineup is likely more suited for your needs.

Dell Latitude 7390 2-in-1

Dell's 13.3-inch Latitude 7390 2-in-1 ( $1,849 at Dell, Inc. ) combines all the stuff we liked about its consumer counterpart, the XPS 13 2-in-1 , with fresh components along with the privacy and data protection options business users need -- all in a simple, small black body.

The Dell Latitude 7390 2-in-1 puts a lot data protection features into an unassuming pen-enabled convertible design that's available in a variety of configurations to meet your work and budget needs.

Data protection hardware along with Dell's software and services quickly ratchet the price up; It seems slightly heavy for its size and its keyboard is on the small side

Thanks to Dell and our very own Funky Kit team, we'll be taking a quick look at the Dell Latitude 7390 ultrabook. This laptop is powered by Intel's latest 8th Gen mobile processor, the Core

Latest Intel 8th Gen processor; Kaby Lake-R architecture; Core i7-8650U; 16GB DDR4-2400 Ram; FHD screen with 1920×1080 resolution; Full size HDMI 1.4 port; LAN port; SIM card slot; microSD card slot; Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) port; Only 1.19Kg in weight

It's a laptop designed for business; so gaming performance is limited to the onboard Intel UHD 620 graphics; Pricey

This 13.3-inch 2-in-1 (rotating screen) laptop is designed to provide knowledge workers with a high-quality mobile computing experience, starting with an 8th generation Intel processor.

Copious security features; Good battery life; Ergonomic 360-degree screen rotation; High-quality screen; MicroSD card reader; Mobile broadband option

On the heavy side for its class; Build quality could be better; Slightly cramped keyboard; Expensive
