This is a game both like and unlike any you have played before

In Death Stranding you will find a lot of mechanics that have annoyed you before: the world is open, large and empty; there are stamina meters; enforced sneaking sections; there is nothing but fetch quests; and combat is pretty simple. But it works. All these mechanics are polished to the point of shining, and they somehow all mesh together to be a lot of fun. And you are rewards for your efforts. The online and building mechanics make it so that you go from struggling to complete a single delivery at the start to zipping around America dropping off cargo in minutes by the end game – if you are properly prepared. And combat is the same – Sam isn't a solider, and it feels like it. But with skill and preparation there is (almost) nothing in the game you can't defeat – especially if you have done the work to get the multi-fire rocket launcher and are carrying two or three of them. Also, defeating one of the bosses by tying him up repeatedly and kicking the **** out of him is satisfying.

PlayStation 4 Death Stranding 9951308 review

Hideo Kojima has fully weaponized the walking simulator, writing a love letter to the delivery service workers of our shipping and handling world. Death Stranding is about ending isolation, and does it so gracefully that I can't imagine it being done better than it's done here.

PS4 Review - 'Death Stranding'

Buy Death Stranding Kojima Production's timed PS4 exclusive Death Stranding is a breath of fresh air in an industry that prefers to replicate the familiar rather than exploring new ideas.

Death Stranding Review – Sayonara, Expectations

If you're an auteur, you define genres. You set trends, push boundaries. Every project challenges expectations. What happens when your life's work is ripped from you What do you do when Metal Gear is taken from you If you're Kojima-san, you do the only thing you know how.

Incredible visual fidelity; Masterful direction; Outstanding cast and acting

May not be for everyone; Some rough edges; Not Metal Gear

Alone but not lonely.

America is broken, and it's up to you to put it back together again. It's a tall order. A lot of people believe in it, but you're not sure you do. It'll take a lot of lonely, dangerous walks and exceptionally heavy lifting, and it's not really clear what America means in the first place.

Your efforts are rewarded in practical ways as well as emotional ones; driving home the positive impact of what you do for others; Connecting with other players through acts of kindness is a powerful experience that further underscores the game's hopeful message; Each main character's individual...

Higgs is a disappointing villain that serves as a means to an end

PlayStation 4 Death Stranding 9951308 review

Death Stranding is a Kojima game through and through and all of the idiosyncrasies, intricacies, and eccentricities that defined his work through the years are well intact. For a large part of the game, the story is pretty straightforward as you navigate the country, reconnecting the network...

Death Stranding PS4 Review

Death Standing proves itself as a unique, palpable new IP, filled with rich storytelling both in narrative and gameplay. The beginning of the game suffers from long gaps of time intended for learning the ropes, but the ship rights itself once it finally turns the corner.

Nani! Ara, wakarimashita

Nani! Ara, wakarimashita So let's try to understand it together with a full review, shall we While I'll refrain from diving too deeply into the narrative, suffice to say there's a quiet (ha) beauty to it amid all of the "delivery babies that spot shadow beasts" absurdity.

Death Stranding Review – A Lot Of Crazy

Hideo Kojima has long been a visionary auteur, his feted career stands as proof. With no walls to contain him, he has given birth to Death Stranding. It's an experience that will be remembered for a long time, from its early hype to the untethered lunacy of its narrative.

A Compelling Narrative Driven By Great Performances; Beautiful Game World; Revives The Wanderlust Bug

A Bit Of Jank; The Game's 'Connected World' Feels A Bit Barren; Core Concept Depends On Repetition
