I love this game

I love this game. There is only one thing I could this is that they was an 18 version of this game. No it is not the wobble effects or to make to women wear even less it is simple going back to saying from my WWF/E days, a bit of colour (blood) would have really added to the realism of the fights.I...

Dead or Alive 5: Last Round PS4 Review

I have to admit: I love fighting games. They hold a special place in my heart and playing them takes me back to a by-gone era of video games, where cartridges were expensive, Mario was king of the industry, and multiplayer meant both players had to be in the same room.

Lots of characters available to choose from; characters feel balanced; Tons of content included for low price tag (if you don't have a previous version); Gameplay feels accessible to newcomers; Advanced mechanics will satisfy fighting game veterans; Story Mode is terrible in a good way

Graphically doesn't stand apart from PS3/Xbox 360 version; Sound design is hum-drum; Hit detection can be finicky; "Intimate" Costumes and breast physics are shallow and gratuitous

A decent game at an unbeatable price, but overall average as far as fighting games go. Definitely worth a buy, but don't get your hopes too high.

Dead or Alive 5: Last Round review

Dead or Alive 5: Last Round still contains the same solid fighting game from 2012, albeit prettier and on current-gen and with a few tweaks, buffs and debuffs in certain characters and their movesets; if you're happy with your old copy of Ultimate it's not an immediate buy, but if you love the...

+ New characters and stages; + Boost to 1080p; 60fps; + Netcode for multiplayer improved

- Costume microtransactions everywhere; - Too many versions of DOA5

Dead or Alive 5: Last Round review

Can sound fighting mechanics trump some of the most juvenile, sweaty-palmed assets in video games? Alan Bell takes a peep at Dead or Alive 5: Last Round.

Tight; approachable gameplay that grips you from the get-go

Awful story; basic modes; offensive

Dead or Alive 5: Last Round Review

The original Dead or Alive 5 is now nearly two and a half years old. In that time, both a portable version and a new console version have been released, ea

Dead Or Alive 5: Last Round review – the physics of?sexism

As competent as the last two updates but still a fighting game held back more by its creepy designs and boring characters, than its purposefully simplistic action.

A lot deeper than it initially appears, even if that's not saying much; Excellent tutorial and practise options; Some fun power blows

Purposefully shallow combat is accessible but quickly becomes uninteresting; Last Round itself doesn't offer much that is new and the fetishised character designs still lack personality
