This game wrecked the series a bit. Lost the atmosphere. Dumbed down the survival aspect. Turned on the lights. Added co op though, so if you want something to blast through with your finest gaming cohort its worth a quick run through.

It's a difficult balancing act for a work of horror to capture the grotesque without also becoming so. Dead Space 3 has nearly become the grotesque, a flashy and bloated genre piece.

A really good game but this is the 3rd one now and to be honest getting a bit bored of it, Not that much is new, compared with the 2 games. The first 5 chapters where so boring, but after those past the game got so much better, hate that fact that there is Micro-transactions to get extra stuff since...

I am a big fan of dead space but this one has more potential as long as you can play it online its awesome.

enjoyable game, didn't have so much issue with the planet-bound bits and you don't spend too long avoiding something that's unkillable which i find very dull. not as creepy as previous ones but familiarity with the game will do that anyway so as expected.

Dead Space 2 , however, blew me away. I don't know if it was the increased variety from a raw gameplay standpoint, or the more interesting locales, but Dead Space 2 had me hooked.
