The Dead Space series is renowned for its inventive approach to the survival horror genre. Amongst the crowded shooter market, Dead Space found its home as a great horror series. It originally found its reputation through the amount of tension established during its missions.

You should absolutely play Awakened if you've already beaten Dead Space 3. It's one of the more original and memorable parts of Isaac's story… which says as much about Dead Space 3 as a game as it does the quality of this DLC.

The survival-horror genre gets such a bad rap these days that it's tempting to overlook them for games with a frantic gunplay, co-op multiplayer elements, customizable weapons or … wait, that's actually what Dead Space 3 offers.

Dead Space 3 is wrapping up a trilogy that started with a silent Isaac Clarke stranded on a spooky spaceship, took us through the torturous mental aftermath as he dealt with the Markers and his dead girlfriend, and then presents a final showdown on a mysterious planet.

The limb-chopping combat receives a facelift with the new workbenches, which you can use to craft your own weapons; You start by picking a compact frame (one-handed) or a heavy frame (two-handed) and choosing an upper tool and a lower tool; These tools dictate what kind of firepower you're using.

Dead Space 3 is a meaty experience; You travel to colonies, fly around abandoned spaceships, and search through 200-year-old facilities in the frozen tundra of Tau Volantis before the end.

I know I'm probably in the minority here, but I didn't really enjoy playing the first two Dead Space games. I feel that horror action games have fallen into a rut that combined cheap scares with limitations on controls or movement along with other bits of awkwardness that turn what could be a fun,...

I wanted to continue Isaac adventures. What I dislike about dead space 3 is that there is no competitive multiplayer. I like the co-op campaign. What is annoying is when the doors would load or say please wait because I would be fighting a regenerating enemy while waiting for the doors to load.

I love the Dead Space universe, and I'm a sucker for sci-fi so this fits the bill really well for me. I can't recommend this franchise enough and to be able to play another Dead Space game is wonderful.
