Nice game with beautiful graphics. The only negative is that you cannot manually save your game, so you have to wait for it to automatically save your progress.

- ONE OF THE BEST ZOMBIE GAMES EVER !. amazing graphics story line etc the list goes on, you will not be disappointed with this game.
Techland's tropical open-world zombie apocalypse is a bit too ambitious for its own good, but it's also an incredibly solid and fun first game in what will hopefully mature into a much more polished video game series.
In the end, Dead Island is a fun game to play. It offers great visuals and varied environments that make it a great setting, and offers very satisfying gameplay. It is fairly long as well, and with multiple characters to play as, you will always have a reason to go back to it.
-Smooth Gameplay; -Good Graphics; -4 Playable Characters; all with their own abilities; -Varied Environments; -Killing Zombies is Always Fun; -Co-op is a blast
-Not as enjoyable in Single Player than in Co-Op; -Some VERY noticeable texture pop-ins when entering a new area; -Can become frustrating at times when you keep on dieing over and over again (easier in co-op
Ryder White is not a bad man. Despite what Dead Island would lead you to believe, Colonel White is an honorable man with good, if misguided, intentions. His wife has the virus. He finds her in a condition that no man would EVER want to find his beloved.
Excellent story; Same fun Dead Island gameplay
Linear path; Important elements removed
In the debate about the rights and wrongs of DLC, one aspect rarely discussed is how downloadable expansions can enable a developer to build on flawed potential and polish up a rough diamond.
I bought this game a few months ago now but have only recently got near the end of the game. It is not your usual zombie shooter where you start in a city ect surrounded by various guns, from the first screen you decide who you want to be there are 4 choises.
a new type of zombie killer; great graphics; great value; some really cool gameplay
none come to mind has been a really fun game
What a strange, difficult to classify game Dead Island is. It's a zombie game. It's first-person melee-focused. It's in a tropical setting. It's an RPG. Wait, what? Yes, I would classify Dead Island as an RPG. A first-person melee zombie survival-horror RPG, but an RPG nonetheless.
Absolutely huge in scope; Fun; unique combat; Scary and tense in unexpected ways
Slightly outstays its welcome; Seriously problematic bugs; Sometimes looks very ugly
Are you sick of zombies? If you're not, you should definitely play this game. If you are, you should also definitely play this game. Techland, makers of the Call of Juarez series, have released a zombie RPG gem you should check out no matter what (I tend to repeat myself.
Good Scares; First Person Melee Combat is the best; Co-op is fantastic and easy to start; Tons of gameplay – great value; Bugs have been patched
Not the most interesting story; No manual save feature
This is unquestionably worth the <$20 price tag, just based on the single player campaign alone. Since I was doing all of the side quests and some unnecessary killing and exploring, it took me about a day and a half, maybe 2 days just to finish the first act of the game.
Entertaining; gore galore; several days worth of single player game play to run through the game once (then you can run through it again and again while keeping your stuff but increasing your level and getting better items)
The graphics are a little dated, particularly the zombie and NPC graphics; NPCs mouths barely move when they talk, and look about like ventriloquist dummies; Driveable vehicles don't take any visible damage other than a broken window and some smoke from the engine.
