I bought this as an alternative to bloodbourne, whilst the gameplay is similar the graphics are poor considering it is supposed to be remastered, if you're looking for a game with great graphics this is not for you, the person I gifted it to finds it unplayable due to the quality.
Having played DS2, DS3, Bloodborne and then DS1 in that order I struggled with it's dated graphics and relatively limited gameplay and have to admit I abandoned it about quarter of the way through.

This is absolutely the definitive console version of the game, I have the Xbox one S (i.e. not 4K compatible, less powerful) and ran through the game only noticing one instance of frame drop, fighting Grey wolf Sif of all places. For those familiar with the series, Blighttown ran flawlessly.
