The power of the Nintendo Switch is in how it reinvents the concept of a handheld game. Where previously there was a wall between home console experiences and those you could have on the go, the Switch brings that wall crashing down.

A seemingly impossible port is carried off surprisingly gracefully, with the old school shooter action working very well as a handheld game.
The action is excellent, with some hugely entertaining weapons and enemies; In-depth upgrade system and some clever map designs; Arcade mode is great
The single-player campaign loses steam before the end, and the multiplayer is only of passing interest; Mediocre art design; The loss of 60fps is understandable but unfortunate
If someone last year had told us the new Doom would be released on a Nintendo console, we would have laughed. "There's no way Nintendo has a console with enough juice to run Doom!," we would have said.
Panic Button has done an impressive job of porting DOOM from more powerful hardware to the Switch making the necessary compromises to create an enjoyable, and worthy, addition to the console that truly feels like DOOM whether in docked mode with the Pro Controller or undocked with the Joy-Con.
Feels like DOOM; Adrenaline-charged fast-paced action; Satisfying weapons
Visuals can be very blurry at times; Audio problems; Frame rate suffers during intense battles
Doom is officially on a Nintendo console once again. But just how does the Switch version stack up against it's siblings.
I'm playing this much more than I ever played the PC version, infact it goes very well as portable pickup/put down whenever type game. For once I can focus on the core gameplay instead of watching the pretty pixels being pushed from a GTX 1080 where I quickly get bored on the couch.
Historically-speaking, third-party support has usually ended up being the deciding factor behind not just the dominant gaming consoles of each generation but also many of Nintendo's biggest successes stories.
DOOM can be summed up in short: Blood, guts, gore and extreme violence. It was originally released in 2016 on PS4, PC and Xbox One. I finished the game back then and absolutely loved it. Here, I have the Switch version where part of my review will discuss how it holds up in comparison.
I bought it for my grandson hes not put it down since getting it.
Game is excellent on Switch , may not be the best port but it portable and can be played anywhere so no complaints can be had. The price is more than the other platforms but it not an bad port , so if looking for an Adult shooter with no may trade offs on the go for the Switch this is must buy for...
