DJI Mavic Air
Excuse the pun, but drone photography is taking off! DJI's Mavic Air is one of the more popular models for drone photography, and for a few very good reasons.
Fold It Up, Carry It Away
One of the great advantages of the Mavic Air is its foldability and portability. The drone is described as "ultraportable" drone which can be folded up and put into a backpack, or even a large pocket.
Portable But Panoramic
Dramatic panoramas are easier than ever to create. The Mavic Air can stitch together 25 photos in eight seconds to make super-sharp 32 MP Sphere panoramas.
Smooth And Clear Images
The 3-Axis Gimbal & 4K Camera offers a vibration range reduced to a minuscule 0.005°. In other words, shaky and blurry shots are a thing of the past. The 4K camera can record at 30 fps, capture HD video at 120 fps, and take 12-mp still shots.
Safer And Better Flying
All that photographic wizardry is at risk if flight safety is compromised. The Mavic Air is equipped with sensor systems and other technologies that greatly enhance its flying capabilities. These include Advanced Pilot Assistance Systems, which help the drone bypass obstacles in front of and behind it.
Connectivity Reaches New Heights
The Mavic Air has enhanced Wi-Fi video transmission to maintain a better signal and connectivity. This new transmission system gives you a 720p live view from up to 4km away.
A newer model DJI Mavic Air 2 was released in April 2020.

DJI Mavic Air Review
The Mavic Air is DJI's smallest, most portable drone, and is just as full-featured as its larger siblings. DJI's first real effort to sell drones to the masses wasn't as rousing a success as you'd expect from the company, which has dominated the marketplace in terms of quality and sales since consumer drones have become a thing. The Spark, released last year, was hamstrung by really short battery life and a control interface that needed some refinement to be ready for mass consumption. The Mavic Air ($919) is what the Spark should have been—foldable, with a 4K camera, and a battery that keeps the drone flying longer. It packs a lot of tech into a small package, including some panoramic photo and video tricks, and is a great option if you don't want to spend $1,149 on our Editors' Choice, the DJI Mavic Pro Platinum. Design The Mavic Air ($499.00 at Drone Nerds) is the smallest drone that DJI makes. Like the Mavic Pro series it folds for storage and transport. When folded it measures 1.9 by 3.3 by 6.6 inches (HWD), small enough to fit into most jacket pockets, and it weighs a little bit ...
Terrific Drone, Great Video Quality
I use this drone primarily for roof inspections on tall or steep commercial properties. it's easy to control in gusty conditions, has a nice long flight duration of over 20 minutes, and takes fantastic quality videos and photos.
