Crytek's flagship first-person shooter Crysis wowed everyone who experienced it. But those people were few in number. The PC-only shooter made such heavy demands on its player PC that only those with the most powerful machines were capable of slipping into the main character suit.
Unreal visuals; Accomplished voice acting; Suit modes supremely well balanced
Weak story; SBland main character; Two-weapon system feels limiting
Running on the third iteration of the CryEngine, Crysis 2 is one of the best looking games you'll see on this generation of console hardware. The visual style is one of heightened reality, it's often vivid and bursting with colour in areas you wouldn't expect.
Crysis 2 has exceeded any and all expectations place on the title and its developer. It's clear that Crytek set out to create an immersive and truly memorable experience. With a compelling story, some of the best visuals ever seen on a home console and the "man, myth and legend" Hans Zimmer working...
Now, normally, a game that's full of aliens, particularly a first-person shooter, gets on my nerves because it takes me too far out of reality, and you could also moan at me for saying that very little that happens in a lot of video games is going to be that much based in reality – although titles...
I bought this for my brother. He is a Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 addict. I've seen some amazing things go down watching him play MW2. He has a K/D ratio of 1.73 and has 100,000 kills more than his addicted friends, who are likewise very good.
Well, the game disc and case came in good condition; Shipping was fast; The game has very good visuals and some unique gameplay elements, such as the requirement to pick up enemies' dogtags to gain experience for your kills.
The game won't let you choose whether to grab a ledge or not when you jump; The fact that anyone can be invisible anywhere makes the game impossible to be mastered; This doesn't go over well with people who like being able to predict anything (given the right amount of training and intelligence).
But will it run Crysis? A question that has plagued PC gamers since the release of the original Crysis game. Crysis was a monolith of PC code, a game that taxed even the most overclocked, overpriced, overhyped gaming computers.
Pros: Best graphics for any game Ive played. Great storyline and amazing Single Player Campaign. Game music soundtrack is the icing on the cake. Gameplay is really great. Cons: Very big one here: Worst multiplayer ever.
Written by sci-fi author Richard Morgan, Crysis 2 is a next generation first person shooter and sequel game to the 2007 PC game Crysis. However, this time around the franchise has spread its love to multiple platforms. I was fortunate enough to review the Xbox 360 version of the game.
FPS You don't know how to ease my pain. You don't know. Times like these take me back to the Book of Revelation; looking around today one may expect to find mass looting, war on a global scale, religious hysteria, famine and pestilence or other apocalyptic signs, the main one being when a PC game...
