Following the successes of Crysis and Crysis Warhead, developer Crytek was always going to face an uphill battle to deliver a sequel capable of living up to the hype.
Nano suit improvements streamline gameplay; CryENGINE 3 is stunning; Tactical options for engaging the enemy are still broad
AI is awful; Multiplayer is buggy; Campaign lacks the open world feel of the original game
I was bought this game for my birthday and didn't know what to think to begin with, i'd seen a trailer for it on TV but there didn't seem to be much hype for this game so I was a little skeptical, but I thought hey, might as well play this thing!
Very good graphics and very fun to play, can't play online as gold has expired but think that would be very good, too easy though as stealth is always useable defiantly worth a rent.
After following the first Crysis intently, when news of the second game came about I was immediately engaged. There is no way you will be disappointed in purchasing Crysis 2. Everything that a makes a game second to none is included.
Challenging; Engaging Story Line; Gameplay; Graphics; Great Sound
Crysis has finally arrived on consoles, albeit starting with the sequel to the game that had PC gamers asking computer store salespeople, "yeah, but will it run Crysis?" The good news is that the Xbox 360 does indeed run Crysis 2, and, in fact, it's easily one of the best looking games to ever...
I was eagerly anticipating this game as a new franchise to get my head into...I was not familiar with the first game and after watching the trailers I was very impressed. But.....I have now played this almost half way through (And I know I should possibly refrain from judging it before completion)...
Crysis 2 isn't one of those love hate games, it's one of those love or "I suck at the multiplayer, so this game sucks (which that opinion was formed through the beta)". I honestly thought I'd seen it all in the beta myself, but I yearned (as a fan of the original Crysis...
I found Crysis 2 quite a hard game to get into, but when it all finally clicked for me it was a great gaming experience. What first struck me were the graphics; the lighting effects are simply beautiful and bring real depth to the surroundings.
Excellent graphics; good multiplayer
Level design could be better
It's rare that a game gives me enough freedom to create my own strategies, implement them, and then be rewarded with success. All too often I find myself thinking "if I could just get up on that roof" or "if this invisible wall wasn't here...
Taking out every single soldier in a level; completely undetected
Alcatraz's status as a silly silent protagonist
