All in all, it's a great little SSD. Worth every penny.
Let me introduce myself. I am a huge computer nerd. I have been dismantling computers from the age of 16, back when I got my first AMD K6 PC. After a week my Windows 98SE packed in, and because I had no money to pay a professional to fix it, I did the unthinkable and started tinkering with it...
Crucial M500 960GB 2.5-inch Internal SSD
Over a year ago at CES 2013, Crucial teased us with the promise of a "Terabyte-Class" SSD that was coming later that year. They were of course talking about the M500 series - and more specifically the 960GB version.- Exceeds rated read and write speeds
- 7mm low profile fits in many Ultrabooks and thinner laptops
- Excellent compatibility
- Decent 3 year warranty
- Massive storage (for an SSD
- Very affordable for a terabyte-class SSD
- No desktop drive bracket included
- No software bundle included in the box for migration
Bought two more after the first...
Recently purchased three BRIX and NUC systems requiring MSATA drives. Liked the first Crucial M500 as boot disk, so bought two more for the other systems. Great price/performance ratio. No issues.- Easy To Install
- Fast
- Highly Compatible
- Quiet
- Reliable
Lightning fast and dependable
Fast, lightweight, the 480gb version seems to hit the sweet spot between price and capacity. I use mine as a portable drive (without a case) which I plug into a SIIG mini-doc. (I do had a case for transport to protect the drive in my briefcase).- Fast
- Highly Compatible
- Quiet
- Expensive
Killer add-on for newer ultrabooks
Incredible performance. I plugged this into my Ultrabook which now just flies along on Windows 8. The transfer speeds are incredible and the laptop boots up in under 10 seconds.
and now starting windows and opening programs is a whole lot better. highly recommended
Fast and reliable SSD, as most Curcial products are. It might not be the fastest one around but works perfectly to replace a regular HDD on and laptop/desktop, and now starting windows and opening programs is a whole lot better. highly recommended.
Works as described
No issues whatsoever, i highly reccomend this product. Its just not the fastest SSD out there but thats fine, its still great- Its a solid state lol Price is great
- Just not the best solid state
One of the best things I have bought for a PC ever.
I've been using this for a while now and can safely say I would not go back to a normal HDD as a boot disc. Booting up my machine is now fast enough I no longer put off reboots. I use this as my main drive and keep media files on a secondary drive where speed is less important and it has made more...
Would recommend price depending, a good run SSD, if you just need a SSD
Just another SSD, average speeds and this is you get what you pay for in this one. Would recommend price depending, was a really good replacement for my gaming pc.
