I have been using this hard drive for about a month now and have been impressed with its performance. I got it to add storage space to my laptop, which came with a 250GB hard drive. Being an SSD, it is very snappy and silent.

My Dell laptop already had a SSD in it but only 120Gb which is rather tight fit for Windows 10 plus several applications and of course rather large Windows Updates / Backups. Comes in a small box so goes through the letter box and only other thing included is a leaflet that I never had to reference.
I upgraded a macbook pro from 2011, just the ssd made such a dramatic difference from an old 8 year hdd. Bringing some new life into the laptop. Best price to performance currently option out there would recommend whether its on sale or not. Would buy again 10/10 :)
Crucial's new BX500 SSD comes at a great price point of just $80 for the reviewed 480 GB version, making it one of the most affordable drives on the market. It is a DRAM-less design that's built around a Silicon Motion controller with Micron-made 3D TLC NAND.
Extremely affordable; just 17 cents per GB; Excellent sequential read and write performance; Solid real-life application performance; DRAM-less design reduces cost
Weak random writes; High read latency; Only available in capacities up to 480 GB; Very large writes (>30 GB) see significant speed drop
It was a late evening near the end of 2017. Christmas break has been on for a week now, and I was walking around my house looking for some jobs that I should have done during the year but have not.
