In the same way that the 1999 original made me grin from ear to ear, Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled is not just a wonderful re-imagining of a classic, but a legitimately great time.

While Mario Kart will always be King of the Kart Racers, Crash comes in at a very close second place and one worthy of anyone with a PS4.

Just under two years ago, developer Vicarious Visions let loose the lovable but long absent Crash on the current console generation via Crash Bandicoot: N-Sane Trilogy , a modernised overhaul of his first three outings.

A lot of titles have been coming out recently that market themselves as remakes after old classics, but my blue ribbon will always go to remakes that manage to recapture the feel of the original game.

FPS drops during split-screen; Easy bots are too easy to beat and Advanced bots are impossible to keep up with; The kart noises can get annoying pretty fast

I’m in awe at Crash Team Racing Nitro Fueled . Everything about the old game has aged like a fine wine, from the core power sliding mechanics to its items, tracks and world design. Add to that a graphical face lift and you’ve got yourself a winner.

I don't know what the complaints are about - unless I got it after a patch with some finishing touches This game is FANTASTIC and fun for all ages. I played 4 player split screen with my 3 kids (ages 5-12) and we all had a blast.

Amazing recreation, loved the old CTR and I love this one more!
