Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy

Oh the 90s. As Mario and Sonic shot to fame as the mascots for their consoles, they left a plethora of inferior 2d platformers and in their wake. Zool, Busby, Cool Spot and a number of others all tried and failed to capture the top notch gameplay of Nintendo and Sega's flagship games, not to mention...

Crash Bandicoot N-Sane Trilogy Switch review - Is Crash spindashing back into our hearts

The N-Sane trilogy is a complete remake of the classic Playstation platforming trifecta, and a good one at that. Attention has been paid to details that are essential to the familiarity of the title, but there's been plenty of refinement here too.

Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy Switch Review

Baz joins Crash on his most compact adventure yet.

Better loading times; Handheld mode eases the difficulty tension; HD Rumble

The list of ports for the Nintendo Switch recently increased by not one title, but three in the form of the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy. Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy Nintendo Switch review – switching mascots

Reviewing remasters is always difficult because you're essentially critiquing two entirely unconnected things: the quality of the remaster itself and whether the original game still stands up to scrutiny.

High quality remaster that improves everything from the graphics to the controls; Good value for money and Crash still has a lot of charm

The original games were always very simplistic, and they seem even more limited today; Racing sections are particularly poor; Switch version doesn't look as good as PS4

Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy Review (Switch)

Sometimes the impossible is made possible and one example of this is Crash Bandicoot on other platforms besides PlayStation. I never thought I would see the day that I would be running around ruins, jungles and futuristic cities as my childhood mascot on a Nintendo platform and that is just what has...

Crash Bandicoot N-Sane Trilogy (Nintendo Switch)

Be sure to check out our original review of . Continue for our Nintendo Switch verdict.

Varied; fun gameplay across all 3 titles; Performance is strong docked and handheld; Infectious charm injected in to the design of the game

At times controls feel awkward; First game really shows its age

Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy for the Nintendo Switch is a compilation of Crash Bandicoot, Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back, and Crash Bandicoot: Warped. These games originally released on the original PlayStation between 1996 and 1998.

Inventive levels; Convenient save system; Solid controls

May be too difficult for some
