Corsair Flash Survivor (16GB)

Tough, lightweight, and featuring excellent read speed, the Corsair Flash Survivor is a very capable USB drive for klutzes and outdoor types alike. Priced for less than $50 at select online retailers, the Corsair Flash Survivor doesn't offer security features, but casual users looking for large...

Rugged construction; Water resistant; Fast read speed; Ten-year warranty,

Slow write speed; No data encryption,

Indestructable stick.

"...damaged, I'm fairly clumsy... Anyway the Corsair Survivor looked absolutely ideal. It's crafted from corrugated anodised aluminium so it is unlikely to be crushed. The stick actually has a fine threaded screw, which is very nicely made to get it out which is cool; these have rubber seals in...

Very rugged; waterproof; shockproof etc .

Some may get annoyed with unscrewing it

Corsair Flash Survivor 32GB USB Drive

The Corsair Flash Survivor range comes strongly recommended, primarily because it is only one of a handful of ruggedized USB storage devices and the price is very reasonable indeed. At the time of writing, the 32GB version costs around $80 which isn't much more than basic plastic casing models.

Corsair Flash Survivor (32GB)

We tested the 32GB Survivor, which costs a heart-stopping $229.99 list-but that works out to $7.19 per GB, a much better deal than the 4GB version at $12.50 per GB ($49.99 list), if you care to look at it that way. The Survivor also has 8GB ($79.99 list) and 16GB ($129.99 list) versions.

The most durable drive going; Ten-year limited warranty

Cap is as big as the drive; lose it and you lose the durability

Corsair 32GB Flash Survivor USB Drive Review

I leave this review with mixed feelings regarding the Corsair 32GB Flash Survivor USB drive.  I have nothing but praise regarding the abilities of the Flash Survivors physical abilities.  It's really water resistant, super-strong and can take lots of abuse, the construction is definitely top-notch...

Extremely strong because of CNC-milled; anodized aircraft-grade aluminum; Water resistant holds true; Can take lots of beatings and it holds up like nothing happened; 10-year warranty and RMA process is simply and fast; Read speeds are pretty fast

Write speed not fast enough for something that looks military; The military is strong and swift, the Corsair Flash Survivor is strong but not swift, First unit prematurely died on me in 2-3 months time, Could be too bulky for some, Could be too pricey for some

Not a Survivor

I purchased this drive expecting durability, but in fact it survives only by very careful treatment, not everyday wear and tear. It is less than year old, and the rubber gasket around the USB plug has come off.

Corsair Flash Survivor USB 3.0

Like all USB 3.0 drives, it is backward-compatible with USB 2.0 ports. We found reviews of the current Flash Survivor 3.0 version on Amazon.com and Newegg.com. Older reviews by EverythingUSB.com and Phoronix.com of a previous version of the Flash Survivor, the Corsair Flash Survivor GT, include...

Water resistant to 200 meters; Withstands vibration and shock in tests; High quality; tough look and feel; USB 3.0 transfer speeds

On the slow side for a USB 3.0 drive; Large physical size; Lack of accessories; including extension cable

Definately rugged.

I've had this for awhile now and it has worked great. Speed and size are perfect for me. It is a little bulky, but I keep it on my edc ring so I don't need it to be tiny. So far the o-ring seal has been excellent. The aluminum case is holding up very well. I have only noticed scuffs.
