Corsair Obsidian 900D Super Tower Chassis Review

Where do I start, this thing is absolutely insane. I sits in our office like a practical joke, it is absolutely huge compared to most any other chassis on the market. My own personal chassis, the 750D is a big case, but it looks like a shoe box next to the 900D.

High component compatibility; Extensive water cooling support; Room for massive amounts of storage; Modular HDD bays; Robust build quality; Huge side panel window; Dual side panel design allows for easy maintenance; Dust filters; Extensive cable routing options; Very easy to work with; Dual PSU...

Too big for most desk spaces; High price tag

VERY BIG and i mean VERY BIG, can do all sorts of rads and great for air cooling unlike its predecessor

I felt thou it lacked the quality of the 800D, i mean the motherboard tray plus the grommets felt a little bit flimsy compared to the 800D

Corsair is a relative newcomer to the computer case market, but the company has won accolades for itself with a line of popular mainstream enthusiast cases at a variety of price points. On the high-end of its offerings is the Corsair Obsidian Series 900D .

Well-built; Stylish; Highly capable

More suited to a niche market; Pricey; No fan controllers

Corsair Obsidian Series 900D Super Tower Computer Case CC-9011022-WW

This is a large and expensive design that features hardware flexibility few cases can match. For drive flexibility it features three removable bays that allow installation of up to nine 2.5/3.5 inch HDD's and SSD's. It also has four external 5.25 inch bays to round out drive options.

There really is no stone unturned in the design of the Corsair Obsidian 900D chassis. From the moment I removed the plastic and foam and found all the edges taped, the window protected inside and out, and tape holding the front panels on so not to get lose and scratch things in transit, I had a good...

Video Perspective: Corsair Obsidian Series 900D Case

Corsair likes to make cases, I think we know that much for sure by now. I mean, they have designed something on the order of 13 different chassis , not including color variations. The very first case Corsair shipped was the Obsidian 800D and at the time it was massive, just down right big.

Corsair Obsidian Series 900D Case Review

The Corsair 900D is an excellent rig for users who require tons of space to pack as much into their gaming system or workstation as possible.

Supports up to 15 internal 3.5" drive bays; Very good build quality; Lots of internal space for nearly any accessory

No power supply extensions for 5.25" drive bays; No cooling fan for PCIe slots

We had to wait quite a while before the Corsair Obsidian 900D was released, but it's finally here and it was definitely worth the wait. From the get-go we say that this has been an intriguing experience.

Corsair Obsidian Series 900D

When we asked HEXUS readers to name their best PC chassis of all time , it was no surprise to see Corsair's Obsidian Series 800D mentioned on more than one occasion. Introduced back in 2009 as the company's first chassis, the 800D cost a pretty penny but offered enthusiasts an excellent blend of...
