Corsair K70 RGB MK.2 RAPIDFIRE Review

The Corsair K70 has been around for a number of years now, with several different variations and improvements in that time, however they were all just small, incremental adjustments not worthy of a new version number. Today, that changes, with the Corsair K70 RGB MK.2.

+ Lovely; uniform RGB lighting; + Dedicated media controls + volume roller; + Cable routing underneath; + Has USB 2.0 passthrough; + Excellent iCUE software; + Wide choice of Cherry MX key switches available; + 8MB onboard memory + dedicated profile switch; + Feels solid; Neutral; +- Plastic wrist...

This is a great keyboard in general but it truly shines in the gaming category. the quick keys are incredible and the silent key strokes are quite satisfying. It still makes a good stroke sound but there isn't an actual mechanical click feel or audible sound, the only sound is from the key hitting...

Corsair K70 RGB MK.2 Low Profile review: Get a laptop feel on your desktop PC

Corsair's K70 Low Profile recreates a scissor switch's ergonomics with a new, slimmer Cherry MX mechanical switch.

Low Profile Cherry MX switch mimics standard desktop switches surprisingly well; Same durable K70 build quality; Flatter laptop-style layout makes for...

Feels less ergonomic than a traditional desktop keyboard; Low Profile MX Red makes more drastic changes than the MX Silver we tested; Wrist rest feels...

Corsair K70 RGB MK.2 Low Profile Rapidfire

Inclined not to clutter your PC with unnecessary software You'll be pleased to hear that the K70 RGB MK.2 Low Profile Rapidfire will function just fine as a plug-and-play solution.

Sleek; low-profile design; Excellent RGB implementation; Rigid aluminium top plate; Well-suited to both work and play; Reasonably quiet action; Easy customisation via iCue

Wrist rest not great; Multimedia controls could be better; Keycap font an acquired taste; Still only USB 2.0 passthrough

Corsair K70 RGB Mk.2 Low Profile Keyboard Review

The Corsair range of keyboards has been a monster success. When they first appeared as the Vengeance range we were impressed by the build quality and clever features, and as time has gone on and Corsair have refined their design, including dropping the Vengeance name, they have continued to blow our...

Corsair K70 RGB MK.2 Low Profile review: Get a laptop feel on your desktop PC

Low-profile mechanical keyboards are the next trend, it seems. Just last month we reviewed Roccat's Vulcan 120 Aimo , the first keyboard I'd seen to combine laptop-style keycaps with full-sized mechanical switches. It was eye-catching, to say the least.

This keyboard is excellent. The responsiveness of the keys is crazy sensitive...meaning, you can barely touch the keys and it responds. (No more button mashing). Additionally, the keys are solid and have that distinct mechanical feel without the excessive noise.
