Corsair K68 RGB Review

In most keyboard reviews, the intro gives you the spiel on how important it is to have a "gaming" keyboard in order to play PC games. Such keyboards emphasize the X number of milliseconds their fancy switches will save you on reaction times. If you're one of the many people who have switched from rubber dome to mechanical switches, you'll notice an obvious difference in typing quality that often translates into improved comfort and accuracy. However, unless you're a top-level professional gamer, chances are you won't notice much of a difference in your reaction time—or any of the other attributes that gaming keyboard manufacturers promise their products will improve. The only real advantage offered by gaming keyboards is anti-ghosting. So, now that we've shot this entire category in the leg, what about gaming keyboards makes them worth buying? Their look and feel certainly help. Nobody wants to show up at a LAN party toting the $20 keyboard they borrowed from an accounting depart...

This durable mechanical keyboard comes paired with great software. The custom lighting is a bit tricky at first, but once you figure it out, the possibilities are endless.

Authentic Cherry MX Red switches; Superior software; Dust/spill proof

Ho-hum plastic wrist rest; Help button poorly explains the "static" lighting option

IP32 resistance rating puts the K68 in a class of its own.

Cherry MX Red Switches; LED Controller / CUE; Wrist rest; Bright; per-key LED; Dedicated Media Keys; IP32 Protection Rating; Corsair quality

No color options; No switch type option (Brown; Green; etc.

Corsair K68 Mechanical Gaming Keyboard Review

When we are buying our gaming keyboards the last thing we really think about is durability. With many companies shoving RGB LEDs and mechanical switches in our face, durability sort of takes a back seat.

– Solid "K" Corsair design we all love; – Cherry MX red switches; – Spill and dust proof; – Dedicated multimedia keys; – Included wrist rest

– No RGB LEDs; – No other key switch choice besides Cherry MX Red

While it does not come with a metal top, the K68 RGB hits the nail on the head with everything else it offers. Fully customizable, affordable, inclusion of iCUE software, and a pleasure it has been to point to why we have given the K68 RGB such high marks!

This thing will not die.

I'm *very* hard on mechanical keyboards. Before my first Corsair I'd be lucky to get 3 months out of one of the competitors keyboards before a LED died or a switch got fouled or went into stuck key mode or whatever. This thing has been going strong for months with flawless operation.

Great gaming keyboard

Best mechanical keyboard I've ever had, and I still have it. It's not too loud, its durable and customizable with easy to replace keys for your preference. The coloured keys only come in red and you can easily turn them off.

I wanted a small RGB mechanical keyboard for game play and this keyboard is everything I wanted/needed. Nice tactile response to the keys without making a lot of obtrusive sound. Love the customizable rgb lighting.

Excellent keyboard with great comfort and responsiveness

I really have nothing bad to say about this keyboard. I purchased it a while back as my first mechanical keyboard and it's exactly what I wanted. The provided ramp that you can attach to the bottom edge of the keyboard is pretty much mandatory for me, as the keyboard is too elevated otherwise.
