Corsair Ironclaw RGB Wireless review: slipstream isn't everything

The gradual shift towards ubiquitous wireless is appreciated. Yet the button layout, weight, and minimal battery life of the Ironclaw make for an underwhelming overall experience.

Good mouse but breaks easily

When it works this mouse is excellent. It's comfortable to use, the buttons are in all the right places and the scroll wheel is nice and easy to use. Unfortunately this is the second mouse of this model I've had that I've had to return (The first came from a different retailer). The first one lasted 10 months before the scroll wheel double click stopped working (It would click but wouldn't register with the PC). The second one lasted 3 weeks before the scroll wheel actually broke on one side and caved in which made the scroll wheel stop registering with the PC. I'd recommend staying away from this particular model and either trying a different Corsair model or another brand.

Corsair Ironclaw RGB

Even though its name might suggest otherwise, the Ironclaw is a huge palm-grip-oriented mouse, and it's the newest creation of Corsair. It comes with an all-new top-notch optical sensor called the PixArt PMW3391.

Great sensor; Fantastic build quality and choice of materials; Good buttons; Main switches rated for 50 million clicks; Don't need to remove mouse feet to disassemble; Great-looking; highly customizable RGB lighting; Comfortable for a palm grip with big hands

Very thick; heavy; and stiff cable; Needs firmware fixes; No replacement mouse feet included

In conclusion, the Ironclaw RGB Wireless mouse, is definitely an improvement over the non Wireless version. You do have to pay an extra 20 buck for the Wireless version. The mouse does have a bigger size in comparison to other mice on the market. The Cue Software seems to work very with the mouse.

Price; Up to 18,000 DPI; Wireless; RGB; Corsair Quality; Made for Larger Hands; Optical sensor – PMW3391; iCUE Software Controlled

You don't have to wait long for new tech in 2019 as a huge number of manufacturers are gearing up to present their wares at the annual Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. Corsair is using this very stage to launch a bevy of products, including the Ironclaw RGB wired gaming mouse.

Very comfortable for large hands; High-end PMW3391 optical sensor; Plenty of customisation options; Subtle yet helpful RGB lighting

No weight adjustment; Software takes some getting used to

Corsair Ironclaw RGB Wireless Mouse Review

Corsair has done it again and created yet another spectacular mouse. The Ironclaw RGB Wireless has pretty much everything you would be looking for in a mouse such as its 18,000 DPI optical sensor, 10 programmable buttons, multiple configuration profiles, and RGB.

Corsair Ironclaw RGB

If you can look past the odd design, the Corsair Ironclaw RGB is an affordable, high-performance gaming mouse that big-handed gamers can love.

Big-hand-friendly; Secure grip; Accurate tracking; Robust build

Poor LED placement; Heavy middle click; Odd amalgam of materials
