Corsair Carbide 678C

The Corsair Carbide 678C is meant to refresh the silent line of cases of the brand with a new, modern take using updated internals. With plenty of liquid-cooling capabilities, a fan controller, and wide body, it checks off a lot of points for enthusiasts, which may end up taking away from its...

Excellent build quality; Glass side panel with hinges for easy access; Dust filters on bottom; front; and top; and all are easily removable; Sturdy door to encapsulate any noise; Three retail-grade 140 mm fans are included; Fan PCB allows for PWM control of all fans via a single header; ODD bay,...

Rather enthusiast-grade feature set with less of a focus on pure sound encapsulation; SSD brackets allow for some play; Basic manual; Door only swings open one way

Corsair Carbide 678C review

Right, it's time for the conclusion. The Corsair Carbide 678C is a very nice chassis, a premium one. Especially considering that it's the Carbide series (i.e. not an Obsidian). But is it worth it the dough It's well equipped, and you can't complain about storage capacity.

Corsair Carbide 678C Review – Stylish, but can it flow air

From the moment we first saw the Corsair Carbide 678C it was clear this case was intended to compete with the Fractal Design Define R6 . Well hurrah to that. We admire the Define R6 and welcome competition, so a case from Corsair that adds drive bays with a clear nod to be quiet!

Corsair Carbide 678C Review

The idea behind the Corsair Carbide 678C is simple, create a quiet case that supports a large number of HDDs and offers PC users enough versatility to hold a range of potential water cooling setups, leaning more on the professional side of the PC spectrum than many of the company's other designs.
