Codename Panzers: Cold War

The Codename: Panzers name is a tried and true RTS brand name. This has already been proven with titles like Codename: Panzers Phase One, and Codename: Panzers Phase Two. In the past the games were developed by Storm Region, nowadays InnoGlow fills that part.

While Germany's estimable Panzer tanks may have gone the way of the dodo at the end of World War II, that little fact doesn't seem to matter much to InnoGlow (formerly Stormregion).

Stays true to the franchise's roots; Straightforward design makes this suitable for RTS beginners

Derivative; shallow gameplay; Not many options when it comes to unit selection; A few performance problems

Codename Panzers: Cold War

A sophisticated, delightfully paced and remarkably different entry into the RTS genre.

Blowing S#!t Up!

Got this for my son (12), he has been playing it almost daily for about a week. No problems with the game, packaged decently when shipped.

No strategy at all . Just rush with your units and thats all. In some missions the horrible path-finding makes you to get wiped again and again . Good graphics . Bad story . Don't waste your money in this game .

Not dissapointed at all

This is the most exciting Codename Panzers I have played. More action, explosions and eye candy than1 & 2. The graphics, especially in DX10, are delicious. BUT this game is power hungry and you need a decent rig to play it with satisfying graphics.

Codename Panzers: Cold War review

Codename Panzers: Cold War fails to capitalise on the moderate success of preceding titles in the franchise. A fabulous game engine and detailed physics simply can't hide what is essentially a basic RTS with limited scope.

Terrain, buildings and units are excellently crafted; Upgrades follow sensible paths and expand available combat options; More than twelve hours of gameplay across eighteen campaigns

No real innovation; Too many bugs; Feels unfinished; Multiplayer fails to provide a draw card; Competing titles are simply better

Codename Panzers: Cold War

More in the style of Rush for Berlin than the two previous Codename Panzers titles; I prefered the limited resources style of the earlier titles. This progression away from the original game format to a format similar to C&C and its clones is not a good idea..
