With its latest range of routers, the Linksys design department appears to have thrown away the rule book.

Linksys WAG160N Review

The Linksys WAG160N is another 802.11n compliant ADSL2+ modem router, which provides the ability of connecting to the internet through a telephone cable (RJ-11) and simultaneously link to your wireless LAN network to share files and resources.

Ultra-portable and lightweight design; Advanced security features; Highly customisable and user-friendly

Expensive; No external antenna

"Linksys's Lightning fast wireless router"

The Linksys WAG160N N300 is an ADSL2+ wireless modem router, meaning it has a a modem built in. It is for use with BT Internet connections rather than for use with a Cable broadband connection (i.e. Virgin) although a Cable version is also available.

Fast speeds; Reliable; Stylish

I had wireless problems; Gets a bit warm; no restart router option in config

Linksys WAG160N review

With its latest range of routers, the Linksys design department appears to have thrown away the rule book. The Linksys WAG160N and its sister devices now sport a curvy, sleek, lounge-friendly appearance, quite unlike their boxy predecessors.

Pros: 1. It looks good. Cons: 1. No IP reservation (supposed to be standard feature nowadays) 2. The whole thing hangs a few times a week 3. Wireless connection drops a few times a day for no reason at all. Overall a piece of junk. Sending this back to the shop.

Review: Linksys WAG160N Draft N router

Previous Linksys routers weren't the most aesthetically pleasing, but this new model is something you'll want to have out on display.
