In my neighborhood Walgreen's are two shelves of perfumes, bottled plainly, with banners proclaiming things like, "If you like Giorgio, you'll love OdorGrenade!" For Drugstore Week, I decided to tackle one of these fragrances.

Gabrielle "Coco" Chanel has requested Ernest Beaux to create 6 perfumes for the designer house. He designed No.1, No.2 etc. to No.6.

According to an oft repeated story, the iconic Chanel No 5 fails miserably in fragrance market tests, with the derived conclusion that the success of this great fragrance is based on the clever marketing strategy and carefully maintained brand image.

Chanel No. 5 was the first smell at which I had the feeling decades ago to be a young but mature woman now. It came added to that that I have got married also young. A firm favourite of mine in the perfume department has got to be the classic Chanel no 5 EDP. I am never without a bottle of this and as soon as I see my bottle nearing the end, I get out there and restock (or ask my husband to get me a bottle).

Absolutely divine and am iconic classic. Perfect gift for someone special, and the gift box is a lovely touch to add a little bit of something extra.

I don't know much about perfumes, but I bought one from Amazon and my lady loved it- the scent and all. Therefore, the 5 star ratings.

My No. 5 perfume literally spoiled and went sour because I couldn't bear to use it over the course of a few years. What a shame to waste such a pricey bottle of juice. All I can say is I'm one for unique, sexy, and sophisticated fragrances that nobody around me wears or can pinpoint.
