The range of Celestron SkyMaster binoculars have been synonymous with binoculars for astronomy and for long range terrestrial observation for many years now, but for one reason or another, it has been quite a few years since I last tested and reviewed a pair.

Too front heavy & awkward to use.

These were purchased as an extra "at home" pair. Low-light capability and motion stabilizers were substituted for a lower price, but they were too heavy and awkward to use for more than a few seconds. Not much more magnification than the 60+ year old 12X magnification it was purchased to replace.

Large; heavy; awkward

For the price you can not argue

25x magnification is near useless. Everything becomes so blurry you can not see a thing. 10x-15x would be ideal for anything under 100mm. Needs a tripod for astronomical viewing.

Splendid clarity, 70mm allows for stunning views; Light weight and durable.

box was opened when I got it; Looks like they may have been used; There is a white nick in the paint or coating right by 1 of the eye pieces; The coating itself has some sort of defect; It has lighter color lines all over 1 side of it.

Best for deep sky objects.

I mounted these 25x70s on a hefty tripod early this morning because Jupiter shone down from a perfect spot in my apt. grounds. I expected to see more; he was really so bright the moons were lost in the glare.

Powerful and decent optics

I am very pleased with this binocular, it is very powerful, and have decent optics. At first size seems quite large but ok if looking at magnification and optics diameter. Moon craters are clearly visible and took the first glimpse of surface of moon.

Excellent binoculars for the price. Jupiter's moons are very clear when mounted on a decent tripod There seems to be some confusion about the tripod adapter. The description is contradictory as says in one place that there should be an adapter but in "what's in the box" it only says binoculars and...

My sister's new binocular

Recently my sister has bought a new Celestron binocular and it is perfect in performance. The celestron SkyMaster25x70 binocular is ideal for travelling, hick hiking and for outdoor holidays. I borrowed her binocular as I was going for a trip with my college friends.

Hard to believe, but give it a gander

I had to come to my senses when first looking through these at a dark sight. The performance was more than good; it was awesome! For the "price point" it seems that some miracle of coincidence or intervention sent me the best set Celestron in China ever made---and I got 'em!

WELL MADE

These binoculars are well made, the barrels seem the be aluminum with s rubber coating, the frame is also metal. The collimation was good on the set I received and the lenses seem to be clear and made from glass no visiable marks or bad spots in the lenses.
