"Too many stars!"

I would say that these are a pretty good entry level pair of binoculars for someone just starting to explore the night skies. The field of view is wide enough so that with a bit of practice you can know what constellations you are looking at, but the magnification is strong enough to blow your mind...
Pros:
  • Good field of view
  • but with reasonable magnification
Cons:
  • Weight
  • and eyecups letting light in from the side

Very Sharp, Bright and Contrasty with some Chromatic Fringing

An excellent value for the price, these binoculars produce a bright, crisp image with chromatic fringing that may put off purists but doesn't affect its usefulness too much.
Pros:
  • Very Bright
  • Very Sharp
  • Very Easy on the Eyes
  • Precise Mechanicals
  • Excellent finish
Cons:
  • Very Strong Chromatic Fringing off Center
  • Cheap tripod mount

I can see you from here!

These binoculars are great big wonderful things. I don't mind lugging them with me up the mountains to get the great views. I also don't really need to climb up the mountains anymore, since I can see the top from way down here. The moon looks fantastic, awooooo.

Celestron SkyMaster 15x70mm binoculars review

You'll notice on the photo that it has a base with a pressure nipple, which functions as a type of spring washer. That is the reason why I filled in the bottom cavities on the Skymaster adaptor, to prevent the nipple getting ripped off as the adaptor get screwed on. Excellent value for money.

Strong construction, good optics, very good durable item. These binos hit the sweet spot and can be hand-held or tripod mounted. Theses binos make for a very good portable viewing instrument. Well worth the price I paid.
