Castlevania: Lords Of Shadow

Yet here it is, unashamedly sitting next to the likes of Uncharted, Assassin's Creed 2 and Shadow Of The Colossus as one of the finest adventure games we've played. What makes it all the more impressive is that Castlevania doesn't have the mega-budget backing of, say, an Uncharted.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 - an ambitious, blood-soaked, epic action adventure

There's good enemy variety too in terms of both look and behaviour, from aggressive flying Harpys to heavily-armoured Stone Golems. A.I. is sharp with increasingly challenging battles and a varied bestiary that mixes up enemies who have both short and long range attacks and various states of armour...

So much gameplay variation that it feels like an epic adventure; Intuitive and in-depth combat system; Rewarding open-world arena that begs to be explored

Dated-looking; slightly complicated skills menu could have been simplified and made to look more modern; Some repetitive stealth play

Castlevania 2 Lords of Shadow

Castlevania Lords of Shadow is a must play game on the PlayStation 3 that really draws you in from the start to give you a spectacular journey of good versus evil in this beautifully presented sequel.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2

Playing as Dracula could have been handled so many different ways, and while I don't agree with everything that MercurySteam did with Lords of Shadow 2, the positive aspects overwhelm the negative. This is a worthy and fitting end to a fine trilogy.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow (LoS) is the next installment in the long running Castlevania franchise. After what seems like too long, the series returns completely re-tooled by the development team, MercurySteam.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow UK Review

If you've been getting your Belmont on since Castlevania's original outing on NES almost a quarter of a century ago now, Lords of Shadow - Konami's reimagining of the classic series - won't be quite the calamitous case of sacrilege some quarters might have you believe.

Great game

A step away from the more traditional castlevania style, however it achives what it sets out to do, graphics, atmosphere are really nice, voice acting is top notch, the gameplay is well done however a medicore camera system bogs this game down slightly also framerates can bog at times but all in all...

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2

Gabriel Belmont's fall proved to be strong foundations.

Huge adventure; combat strong; great music

Stealth sections; pathways through sections occasionally not clear

A Great Stab at the Genre.

I've never played a castlevania game before, but reading some polarised of the reviews about this game, and watching some gameplay videos, I encouraged myself to buy the game. On Play.com I managed to pick it up for about - £18, which could be lower by now.

Gorgeous Graphics; Stunning Soundtrack; 14 +  Hours Long

Could expand on other characters; at times has Difficult Puzzles
