Dracula's Back in Town | Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 Review

The time has finally come to end the Lords of Shadow story arch and Dracula is coming into the spotlight. The Lords of Shadow story arch has been a tremendous series for Castlevania.

Poor reviews are a load of utter tripe. Buy this game!

Words cannot express how confused I am concerning the torrent of poor review scores this game has gotten. I have literally nothing to gripe about this game. Gameplay is smooth and elegant: the combat builds on the already fantastically fluid system introduced with the first game, traversal is fun...

A bloody good game – Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 review

The first Lords of Shadow was a line in the sand for many old school Castlevania fans. Mercury Steam's departure from the familiar 2D gameplay and the non-canon nature of its story generated an outcry of naysayers, who still reminisced about the heyday of Symphony of the Night .

High production value; Engrossing combat; In depth upgrade system adds replay; Satisfying conclusion to series

Frustratingly tedious segments; Hidden load screens; Minor bugs and glitches

(PlayStation 3 Review) Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 built upon its predecessor in many meaningful ways, but it frequently stumbles whenever attempting something new. Comparing the segments set within Dracula's castle to those in the modern city shows a clear difference in approach.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 (PS3) Review – Dracula's Return Doesn't Suck, But it Lacks a Little Bite

The Castlevania franchise is long and storied at this point as Lords of Shadow 2 marks the 35 th installment in the series (crazy, I know). With that comes a very convoluted back story and history that may leave newcomers, and probably some veterans, scratching their heads over the plot to this one...

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 PC Review

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow most likely caught people by surprise. For one, it was a title done by a western developer, MercurySteam, and not by legendary series producer Koji Igarashi and his Konami team.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2

Playing as Dracula could have been handled so many different ways, and while I don't agree with everything that MercurySteam did with Lords of Shadow 2, the positive aspects overwhelm the negative. This is a worthy and fitting end to a fine trilogy.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 PS3 Review

As reboots go, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow did interesting things with Konami's famous and much loved series, with developer MercurySteam crafting a game that was as much God of War as it was Castlevania, and it also featured a surprising conclusion that actually saw protagonist Gabriel Belmont...

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2

Lords of Shadow may not have been the Castlevania game everyone wanted, but I mostly enjoyed it for what it was, and that ending was to die for. It was the perfect segue into Lords of Shadow 2 , which has been teased for nearly four years now as the return of Dracula -- the main man himself -- and a...
