Back in the 80s, Carrier Command became a cult classic, and although it wasn't a huge commercial success, it captured the imagination of its fan base  Now, in 2012, Bohemia Interactive have decided to try and catch lightning in a bottle again with a reimagining of the original.

A hybrid strategy game that tries to add new elements and fails to make them gel. Coupled with unreliable AI, poor tutorials and a story that is liable to shred your patience, Carrier Command: Gaea Mission is most certainly a misstep for a title once held in high esteem.

Came from the old school of CC and was looking forward ro the release. A bit dissapointed. Had problems when working with multiple vehicles. Put it away for awhile but I'll try it again later.

I can forgive the poor 3rd person shooter they've shoe-horned into this version of the game, and I can forgive the dodgy script and voice acting of the cut scenes, as in essence this is still the same game I knew and loved as a kid and played to death.

So much promise. I have fond memories playing Carrier Command on my Amiga. Sadly the remake was being handled by a bunch of totally incompetent muppets. The controller was set to hyper sensitive.

A lengthy campaign is something that certain players may look to when trying to weigh up their investment in a potential new time sink, based around whether or not they will get their money's worth.

Clean and slick interface that provides seamless transition between issuing commands to taking direct control over individual units; Action portion of the game offers a nice balance to the strategy component; Impressive and dynamic weather system

Tutorial portion of the campaign feels like it goes on forever; Poor AI in general; with your own units sometimes struggling to move around a simple corner; Can get a little boring

Carrier Command is a terrific game that merges real time strategy with fast paced action. It maybe a little rough around the edges but it still runs perfectly fine. Bohemia Interactive, the game's developers also said they'll release a multiplayer patch if the game gets enough sales.

good game when it works, main problem is it keeps freezing and i have to turn my xbox off. The Ai is useless as they keep getting stuck and when your at the start of the first few missions and they get stuck and die you can't cant make more units.
