despite of ordinary glas material (no L-series) this lens has exceptional sharpness - but the best thing about it is the unsharpness! things out of focus get blured in a special way, not seen by any other lens - even if you stop down to f11!
Pros:
- this lens has no competitor
Cons:
- rotating front element
- tiny shift & tilt knobs

Fast shipment
"I have been wanting this lens for some time, and decided to order one when I saw the big savings ($340). The price is competitive even compared to B&H which is a big plus as I don't need to pay for the duty and and international shipment.

My 4x5" Sinar P2 Replacement
I'm advertising professional photographer since 1980 and large and medium format is what I used in this time since I have my second Canon, (my first was a Canon F1 in 1978, after that I switch to Nikon for a while) the new 5D, just after his launch into the market, I saw the TS90 in Canon's website...

Canon TS-E 90mm f/2.8
This lens is superb optically. I use it mainly in the studio for table top shots. I found that it is far more flexible for small jewelry products than when I used a 100mm Macro, because of the tilt feature. I have used it with the 2x Teleconverter to achieve very close results.
Pros:
- Great resolution
- Tilt and shift are waaay more useful than shift alone
Cons:
- have to modify it to change the axis of shift with tilt
- a little bulky (but not bad

Great Close-up Lens
This tilt-shift lens is a huge improvement over the previous model that I have been using for the past 7 years. It's sharper, has more contrast, and focuses much closer. I use this lens for 90% of my jewelry shots. Great product! And, the memory card was an added bonus.

Canon TS-E 90mm f/2.8 - Review / Lab Test Report
Shift lenses allow you to compensate perspective distortions (converging verticals) by shifting the optical path off its horizontal axis. By doing so the projected image (rectangle) on the film/sensor plane gets distorted to a trapezoid negating the original effect.

Canon TS-E 90mm f/2.8L MACRO
The Canon TS-E 90mm f/2.8 L Macro Lens is a new specialist lens from Canon, launched at the same time as two other TS-E Macro lenses, a 50mm and a 135mm. It is a replacement for the older 90mm f/2.8 TS-E lens, which was neither macro, nor "L".

Exceptional and underused for landscape
This lens , usually bought for product photography has recently become favoured for the special effect of exaggerated limited DOF (depth of field). i.e. you not only extend DOF considerably (effective DOF) you can go the other way and limit it for special effects ( like making people look like...
Pros:
- Consistent Output
- Versatile
Cons:
- Difficult to Clean
- No weather sealing
- Slow Focus
