Canon SELPHY CP1300 Wireless Compact Photo Printer Review

Anyone old enough to remember a time before digital photography likely has fond memories of Polaroid cameras. At a time when viewing photos typically required handling film correctly, a trip to the drug store or photo lab, days of waiting for processing, and anxiously flipping through a stack of...

Nice unit.

Bought six months ago - - - Nice product. Now buying a second for a friend as a gift. It basically works. Connects well to Wi-Fi network, and you can print directly from a phone or PC over a network. The unit prints photos that are just shy of 4x6 - mildly annoyed it isnt a true 4 x 6.

I used this at a family party to share photos. It was connected and printing all day, and except for a problem with a usb hub (not the printer's fault) it worked flawlessly. having the prints come out "dry" and ready to handle was great for sharing and showing around the pictures, the colors were...

Excellent print quality, with a few minor issues

As a keen photographer I was dubious that this could match external prints, and I wasn't expecting it to as it's a home product created for ease of use, at a surprisingly good price. I was dumb founded (and still am) at the quality of the prints.

Cropping

Would have given it 5 stars if it did not crop edges of my photo's taken in landscape. It crops about 1/4 inch off top of the shot compared to the actual image. Tried everything to prevent this but to no avail. Also, it does not appear to read some older SD Cards

Cant connect unless you have wifi.

Just bought this today to take overseas. I plan to use it in places that dont have wifi. You are supposed to be able to connect directly to it with the unit itself being the wifi. No-one in our family can direct connect. It works great through the home wifi but thats about it.

Produces bright and sharp prints

Good quality prints but may take some effort to get good colour matching with what you see on your screen. A bit fiddly to get it to connect and print from Windows 10 (ended up using USB cable not WiFi) but was easy to get it to print from Android phones.

Christmass Gift

I purchesed this for a Christmass gift, It has not ben used ,I do have a older model of the same printer and that one works good, that is the reason I purchesed this one, If this one works like my older one I can tell you that this one is as good as any other photo printer in this price range

Use it with the postcard size papers, it has been surprisingly good, the only downside is that you can't easily switch portrait and landscape and you can't control which portion of the photo you are getting, that's the limitations of the mobile apps I suppose.
