Lens gave out after a year and the lens is not removable or repairable on these hybrids; Canon covered the first replacement but after a month of use with the refurb the same, "Lens error, camera will restart." thing started happening again.
I bought this for my wife to replace another bridge camera that broke. This one has the variable angle screen which appears on most cameras now and the controls reflect the more professional SLR s for Canon.
