Amazing features, and long zoom

I love the side-swinging, tilting view screen, which is something I required in a new camera. 50x optic/200x zoom is really impressive and the stabilization really works. Photo here of small bird was done, handheld, through glass, from second story, across back yard and has not been cropped or...

Best camera I have ever had!

I love this camera. It's so easy to use. My kids can use it. The only thing I don't like is that without the beam assist. It doesn't focus well. The beam assist lets people know that your going to take a picture. So it's not good for candid shots. But that is the ONLY thing I don't like.

Awesome Pictures; HD video; Powerful zoom

Focus in low light

Great companion for my 5dMk3

This is an amazing camera. The lens and the IS has given me some brilliant, sharp and impressive shots. This saves me from carrying around my large tele on general street shoots - which I hate.

good battery life; Good Low-Light Performance; Nice features/settings; excellent image quality; durable; Bright LCD; Lightweight/Portable; Simple controls/menu; easy to use

Canon PowerShot SX50 HS Review: Goldilocks Dream Camera

I loved Canon's S-series ultrazoom digital cameras (S1-S5) and I was a bit suspicious of the SX-series that replaced them. But, after using each of the SX models, to date, I've come to regard the SX-series as worthy successors to the benchmark "S" cameras.

50x zoom; HD (1080p) movie mode; Great image quality; Easy to use

Soft telephoto images at full zoom; AF hunts at telephoto lengths

Canon PowerShot SX50 12.1MP Black Digital Camera

My father bought this camera last year and we bought his old one for a few hundred. He spent a lot more on the bundle of this camera and we noticed his shots were sooo much better that my Boy Friend had been talking about how he needed a new camera all the time.

Canon PowerShot SX50 HS Camera: Review

The Canon PowerShot SX50 HS is a good bridge camera whose most striking feature is the 50x superzoom, which places it at the top of its similar, but that also increases the size of a lot. Stand also support RAW format, the swiveling display, manual controls, the optical stabilizer and HDMI port.

CMOS sensor; Full HD movies; zoom; swivel LCD; RAW Support; Manual Mode; Burst at high speed; high sensitivity ISO; optical image stabilizer; auto mode; HDMI port; Support for framing

Could have been the best.

If you go back and buy the cable so you can read the instruction manual, you still have to take your computer with you so you can read the manual. My computer doesn't fit in my camera bag.

Great zoom with lots of options

NO instruction manual; No kidding; The manual comes on a CD that has to be loaded on the computer, but you need a cable to attached the camera to your computer before the manual will load and the cable is NOT included; Can't load your pic's either

outstanding--neg reviews are from those who didn't bother

I have had this camera for almost two years now. It's only in the last several months that I have been able to unlock the true power of this thing. To all people who wrote negative reviews, all I can say is you never took the time to learn how to use the camera.

Photography is a passionate hobby of mine. I have owned Canon cameras for at least 35 years..since my first Canon AE1..I've dealt with carrying around different lenses and filters. This time I wanted a good "all in one " camera. I found it.
