The Canon PowerShot SX210 IS is the rare camera that's sure to please a variety of users, making this pocket megazoom a solid recommendation for any camera shopper. It's a more-conservative buy than the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX5V, but it's still a fun camera with top-notch performance.

Canon Powershot 210is
This is a great camera from Canon. The long 14x optical zoom , with wide angle makes it a versatile camera for all situations. A great travel camera especially. I like the fact its still small enough to put in you pocket, so you can take it everywhere with you.

Almost perfect
Indoor no flash takes great pictures but using flash produce poor quality most shots Scene modes do not produce optimum specifications. Instead of using 'child' scene mode to catch shots of active child, use TV and adjust speed.

Good camera [...]
This is a very good camera. Although I have only used it a couple of times, I took a variety of pictures both close up , normal distaces and zoomed in on objects at a distance, and the pictures were very good. I used the software provided with the camera to both modify and print some of the shots.

- Large Clear LCD

- No Viewfinder

Unlike the Ixus range, which is a fairly tight grouping of mid-range compacts, a PowerShot can be anything from the A490 (now down to just £80 and no worse for it) to the breath-taking DSLR-threatening Canon G11, which costs nearly £400.
